Coming through the ranks in the Western Province and Cape Cobras setups, Beuran began earning recognition in the domestic scene with his ability to extract movement both ways. His standout performance came in the 2012–13 domestic season when he picked up 35 wickets in 7 games, instantly catching the attention of national selectors and fans alike.
